Burkina Faso Terror Attacks

The horrendous attacks on the Splendid Hotel in Burkina Faso, West Africa, left some 29 people dead, most of them from Western countries.

The terror group who claimed credit for the attacks said that it set out to "punish the cross worshippers [Western Christians]".

What does this tell us about the thinking of Islamist extremists and the worldview of the West? The BBC's Will Gompertz is speaking with social futurist Mal Fletcher and Dr Sally Bayley of Oxford University.
